So, what exactly happens inside The Quiet Rewind?

Ooh I’m glad you asked me that, because I get to share just a taste of what it’s like inside my world, inside The Quiet Rewind.

You see, this isn’t just a job to me. Absolutely not. It goes much deeper. If you read my last piece about why The Quiet Rewind was born, you will already understand how important this is. If you haven’t already, I urge you to stop reading now and go read that article, then come back. I think you’ll understand the depth of this work much more fully. https://www.thequietrewind.com/unlooped/so-why-was-the-quiet-rewind-born

So, when you join The Quiet Rewind, at whatever level, you are stepping into something different. Yes, I’m a coach, but more than that, I help you to reconnect with the you beneath the noise of the mind.

There is no curriculum, no course to work through. It’s experiential and unique to you. Why? Because one size does not fit all. We are all unique, with a rich tapestry of experiences, which had shaped us into who we think we are. Except that actually isn’t the real you. I know that may be hard to believe right now, but trust me: once you know, you know.

There are pillars that we work through, yes. But these are broad themes, personalised to you as you travel through them. Although I offer a group experience at the very start of the work, I never work with anyone without at least one, one-to-one session. There are a few reasons for this. One is because I love connecting with you guys, and there is no better way than through a personal conversation. I listen not just with my ears, but with my heart, I really listen. And second, because I want to be sure that that ripple effect I talked about last time, reaches you too and everyone who works with me. So even at my entry level, you still get some Nix to guide you.

So, what are these pillars I keep mentioning? Every session inside The Quiet Rewind begins a little differently, but we always start by becoming truly present, by grounding and entering a deeper state of being. From this place, we begin to notice that a thought is not necessarily truth. We begin to recognise that we are not simply our mind, our ego. We have learned to identify so completely with the thinking mind that we mistake it for who we are. But you are so much more than that. The ego is important. We need. Part of its job is to keep us safe in the world. But in its ancient drive to keep us safe from harm, it is fear-based and usually jumps straight to the worst-case scenario. We are all familiar with the “but what if?” that appears whenever we contemplate change. The mind doesn’t like this. It likes to know, it likes routine.

The thing is, your mind is shaped by your conditioning, by your experiences, good and bad. And so, its view is limited. It can create stress and anxiety, hold you back and keep you small. It can tell you that you aren’t enough, that you can’t do something, that it’s not available to you, and that’s just the way it is. Right?

Whilst other work looks at the mind and tries to change it by repeating affirmations or thinking positively, we do something different. And don’t get me wrong, this stuff has a place. But it’s not the whole answer. Instead of working on your mindset, inside The Quiet Rewind we start with asking: what is there beneath thought? What is here without thought? What do you notice as you practice entering a meditative state? What do you notice when you become aware of the body? What happens as you enter the heart space?

The heart space is the next pillar. The place where you connect to your life force. To the seat of your intuition. As you begin to breath through your centre, and as your heart expands and you let go of the mind, you learn to drop into what I like to call The Quiet Knowing. A place where all the conditioning falls away and you enter what some describe as ‘in no sense,’ beyond the constant analysis of the thinking mind. Back towards the person you were before the world began telling you who you should be. As we go deeper inside The Quiet Rewind, we reconnect to the child who once viewed the world with wonder, freedom, and joy, before so many limitations were learned. This is who you really are, she was never gone. And once you begin to reconnect with her, something starts to shift. It’s a truly wonderful place to be.

Through guided practice, you learn to listen to the whispers coming from your heart space, from The Quiet Knowing. It’s a much quieter voice. You have to become quiet enough to hear it. But more than this, even once you hear it, your thinking mind will still be trying to have its say. We don’t resist the thinking mind. We meet it with kindness and let the thoughts pass. I help you to trust what your heart is saying.

We learn to step into the circle of what you would truly love to create, often something very different from what the thinking mind says you should want. Then we look at your current reality and what your intuition is telling you about the next natural step towards what you really love.

Once this begins to feel familiar, we move into the energetic sphere, where I help you to learn to release old energy that no longer belongs to you or may be keeping you stuck in old ways. And we transform it. We let it go, so that you can be in this new world, without the limitations that were there before. You learn ways to release tension and come back to The Quiet Knowing, to presence, to ‘in no sense,’ whenever you choose.

The final pillar is all about learning to maintain and return to this state, so it becomes something you can carry into everyday life. You come away more connected to yourself, rather than caught in the critical mind and believing everything it tells you. Each level follows a similar path, but each goes deeper.

You can start with any level, although I recommend that you begin with Rewind: The Reveal. In this space, you begin to realise that you aren’t simply who you thought you were. Something deeper is revealed. Rewind: The Return is where you begin to live from what you have discovered. You practice returning to that deeper sense of self in everyday life. Finally, if you enter Rewind: The Reclamation, we go deeper still, directly accessing the unconscious mind and transforming the beliefs that have been keeping you stuck in old patterns.

The beauty of this work is that it doesn’t matter whether you decide to complete level one and stop there, that may be enough for you. Or whether you go deeper, every level has value. Each level is powerful in its own right. Each deserves its own space. And each meets you exactly where you are.

If this sounds like something that you would love to hear more about, book a Quiet Conversation. Well, I call it that, but it’s more of an experience. Spend 45 minutes with me, free of charge, and I’ll show you what might be possible when you step beneath the noise.
